After months of putting it off and letting life get the best of me, I finally got to completing my goal which was writing my collection of poetry! I was so anxious and nervous and now that I have finally done it, I am motivated to make another. I am even motivated to actually join nanowrimo and actually write a novel which I haven’t done since I was like 14. When I was a pre-teen I would curl up with my typewriter every chance I could and just write for hours upon hours. Too bad that upon moving so much I lost all those stories forever.
I had missed my creative side and miss expressing myself with the power of words.
I will no longer let life get the best of me and 2018 has been amazing so far despite how horrible, sad and tragic 2017 was for me and my family. Life is about living it and living it now.
So take my advice, don’t put off for tomorrow what can be done today because tomorrow’s are never for sure and today is.
Here’s the link to my book. It’s on the kindle store for now. I will be working on getting it to be a physical book when I am able to which should be in the next few days.
Buy it here.
This book is something I normally would not pick up on my own. I choose it for one of the books from the book of the month subscription, that i adore so much and I saw mixed reviews which always leaves me to want to read more. I gave this book a hard 2. It just wasnt for me and the story line was a bit predictable. It felt like something off of Lifetime movies!
Below is a screenshot of the info on the book.
First, the vibe from Mary and Hannah and her love for her was maternal and obvious! Mary did what she needed to do to survive with Hannah. Part of me screamed at the book at how obvious it all was. It did tug at my heart a bit seeing her struggle so young.
I wish there was more suspense but we win some and lose some. Would i recommend this book? Maybe. I wouldn’t have considered it and would not reread it.
Hope this short review is helpful in your next read choices.
I saw this book and read the description on my kindle and it interested me over the fact that I love series especially a crime series. This is the first book I have read by Kendra Elliot and I give this book a hard 5 stars.
The story is about an FBI agent named Mercy. She returns home to Eagles nest due to sudden murders that are similar. She has been ousted by her family and ends up running into them in many different ways. The chief of police is the second main character of the book and I am anxious to see how his story plays out in the other books of this series.
If you are looking to pick up a new series, pick this book up. The suspense and many turns it took was utterly amazing in my humble opinion.
Hope this short review helps you pick up your next read.
I am currently up to 14 completed books put of my 25 for the yearly goal. Should I up the ante?
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
Its a novel about many people but 1 main character is Jules, the sister of the suicide/murdered Nel. She has to come back to the town she ran from because of this and be a guardian to her niece. There’s so many characters in this book and so many events that link to eachother that all goes back to Nel and why this tragedy happened.
To me personally the story wasn’t really about one person but more so the secrets of a town that ripped peoples lives apart. I enjoyed how everyones story and version of events were told even though it was sometimes overwhelming. Pay close attention to each character even if you think they aren’t important.
I feel like if you enjoy twists and turns and suspenseful books, this is right up your alley. The ending definitely was a huge shocker and it is worth a read.
Pick it up, you won’t be disappointed.
Next book review will be about since we fell by Dennis Lehane.
I happened to come across this book while surfing the amazon prime reads. I saw the cover and felt drawn in instantly because I’m a sucker for a great cover.
This book is basically a suspense and at each chapter I kept wanting to read it to find out what would happen to the poor girl that washed ashore named Mia. Mia ends up having amnesia and hallucinates a women whom remains unknown for most of the book till the end. I don’t want to spoil it for you but lets just say my jaw dropped when I read why she kept seeing this women.
So apparently, Mia is rich and has a lot of troubled and complicated relationships with everyone around her. It doesn’t really phase her much that mostly everyone in her life isn’t really a major part of her life. Her boyfriend claims her when the police put out that shes found via the need because she doesn’t even know who she is or who he is but his role in the book is short lived.
Before I ruin the ending for you, which I am so trying not to, just know that Mia isn’t who I thought she was as I continued to read the book. I am hoping that she gets another book because her character to me was one I would love to get to know more and see what happens after everything.
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars on good reads. Do I recommend this book? When i rate books over 3 stars you know I will highly recommend it. I enjoyed reading it and finished it in two days despite the challenges of my day to day.
I really do hope there is another book that involves this character. And I enjoyed how very detailed and descriptive everything in the book was. The author did an awesome job with the feel of the settings and character.
Thats all for now. Would you read this book?
