Journey into black out poetry

As I was surfing threw the vast creative world that is youtube, i learned about black out poetry.

I have seen many photos via tumblr and wondered what it was and now I can say that I really enjoy this process especially on days that i simply can not place words together.

This creative outlet is unlike anything I have come across of and actually feels soothing, its the best way I can describe it to be for me anyways.

Here is the first one I managed to create.

I placed washi tape on the corners of the pages I did create. Since this book is a thriller, it will be interesting to see all the finished poems.

Here’s the cover of the book:

I will revamp the cover to suit me better and the poems I end up creating from it.

If you would like to see more photos of the poetry I wind up creating, please visit my tumblr

Making vision/inspiration pages in my Bullet Journal

I had cut out a few things that stuck out to me from a magazine and had been wanting to make a vision board/inspiration pages in my bullet journal for awhile. I didn’t want to make a big typical one on a poster board and hang it up etc. Like most I have seen. Putting it in my bullet journal that I am constantly in and flipping threw seemed more and more like a good idea.

I enjoyes the process so much and it didn’t take long to place it all together.

What is something you have done to be creative in your bullet journal?

Xo, Vanessa.

March in my Bullet Journal

Seems like the months are flying by! I am set up for march in my bullet journal which is still being held in my markings notebook from staples.

Since last month I didn’t have a tracker, I wanted to return to it but from a different perspective. I used the tracker printables from decade thirty which can be found on her etsy.

I also decided to change how my monthly is setup since I use my happy planner as a monthly and weekly planner.

I also included a videos idea brain dump and that was basically it.

I do plan on showing february and march flip threw together on my youtube channel since February was a short month.  I enjoy watching recaps of people’s planners and bullet journals,  do you?

Stay blessed!

New year started off sad…

With the new year here, I still feel numb. There’s so much I just cannot place into words at how 2016 ended in such a sad and heartbreaking note. Well here it goes, my father in law whom I adored went to heaven on Dec 31, 2016 at 7 pm.

Grandpa with Branden 2003

We were doing groceries and running our last minute errands to head home and spend it together when bam, that phone call changed it all for us. We rushed home and just gathered what we could in a hurry and rushed all the way to nyc.

My poor babies were crying a bit and it was a very quiet drive.

His mother was devastated but she held it pretty together because the kids were there with her. I helped as much as I could with putting his clothes together for the funeral and just being of comfort. Also me and my sister in law put the memorial collage of his photos together as well.

The funeral was nice. Everyone came to show support but I pretty much kept to myself due to just my own personal reasons. I loved his father, in my own way I just wanted to respect and appreciate that this was the final time we would see him. There were other factors involved as to why I kept away from everyone but I won’t disclose that here.
My parents did come and show support in which I appreciate it wholeheartedly. Sadly, lily got ill and so did Kay during our trip there so we couldn’t stay longer as we had originally planned.

So much sadness has engulfed me and has put me in a manic depressive state. I’m hoping this too shall pass.

Thank you to all those who extended loving texts and comments. It was all appreciated.

Ready for 2017

I have set up my bullet journal for 2017. I love the bullet journal system because it is what works best for me. This time around I’m using the markings spiral three section notebook.

I love the sections and  how  each section is designated with the different kind of paper.  First section is lined,  second is graph and the last one is plain which is perfect to glue in things and printable found online (that’s what I’ll use it for).

Below you will see how I set up the first section which is lined.

Two pages front and back for the index of important pages.

Blog ideas based on months and seasons and my goals for the year.

Above is the page to introduce January

This time around I wanted a memories section to jot the good things that happened because I’ve never done it and want to be able to look back at the good things in life.  Then,  I did the running monthly which is the typical way to keep track of things etc in the bullet journal system.

Next,  I decided to break down my habits by weeks for the month so it won’t feel so overwhelming to me because I am terrible at keeping track of anything.

This time after much experimenting this is how I set up my weekly overview since I will be using my recollections planner as a weekly planner,  I didn’t feel it was necessary to do another weekly in here and waste space.

I will be doing daily planning in this bullet journal.

In the second section,  since it’s a grid it’s perfect for the trackers.  So I’m doing a yearly summary trackers of my youtube posts which will be in red and my blog posts which will be in blue.

I’ve been wanting to try a year in pixels and thought it was the perfect time to start.  You basically color code your mood and track it.  If you deal with mental health issues like me, I recommend this to help know the highs and lows of your life.

I also want to see my menstrual in a year based view.  It’s just easier to view and know when the dot will be visiting other than having the app on my phone.

The last thing I will be tracking is my Township game that I play religiously on my phone.  I love this game and it’s basically the best pass time and also very fun since I get to chat with the players on my team and get challenged to complete tasks etc. I like to track the score we made together in regattas and how many tasks out of the 15 I completed.

I still have a few pages to set up but once I am done I will share the rest on my youtube channel.

Thanks for checking out how I set up my bullet journal so far.

Stay blessed ❤️

10 songs that played on shuffle. . .

I decided to do a random and fun post that has to do with what I listen to because the music you listen to says a lot about you.
I use the app Spotify and I prefer that app over any others that I have ever came across of.

Have fun and try going to all your songs and hit shuffle. Did you enjoy it?

Here are my ten songs that appeared:

  1. Throw my mess by band of horses
  2. 27 hours by banks
  3. Let me hold you by chest codes
  4. Verbatim by blackbear
  5. Tell me by pj and Jevon dee
  6. Moments by tove lo
  7. Sober up by Joe budden
  8. Counterfeit by Jordan fisher
  9. Cierra Los Ojos by zionn and lennox
  10. Mercy by Shawn mendes

As you can see my taste varies.  I am not prejudice when it comes to music.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Stay blessed.

My November and photos

It’s the last day of November and as the rain continues to pour down,  I am nestled in bed trying to relax and get this mild flare up under control.

Eva is loving the fall leaves that we piled up for her to play and jump in.

My favorite purchase of November is the Kathleen lights x morphe palette.  😊

Had a much needed girls day with my BFF.

Kay enjoyed a few Park days due to how warm it’s been.

Me and hubby revamped our hair which was much needed on both our ends and let me tell u it feels great to finally have my pixie in order.

I am so beyond glad that stores now have way more penguin items in Stock because my obsession is real.

I’m still reading ever so slowly the wedding.  Don’t worry I’ll finish it hopefully soon,  I’ve just been on a reading blogs addiction instead.

Other than that,  I’ve had a sudden kick of enthusiasm to blog,  vlog and start my ebook. So even though I am barely reading,  I am managing to be way more productive with my time.

I look forward to sharing more of my memories  with  you  all on  here and on my youtube.

What’s your favorite memory of November?

Stay blessed.
